Privacy and Policy

How Acadular collects, uses, and protects personal information.

Last updated: October 3, 2026. This Privacy and Policy explains how Acadular (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit our website, book a demo, request a school account, or use the school management platform (the “Service”). We design the Service with UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and applicable US data-privacy requirements in mind.

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers website visitors, people who request a demo or school registration, and users of an approved school account (administrators, staff, teachers, parents, and students, as applicable). When a school stores student, parent, or staff records in the Service, the school is responsible for that information and for obtaining any consents required by law. We process it to provide the Service on the school’s instructions.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Contact and account details, such as name, email, phone, school name, and role
  • Registration and demo-request details, including the plan you select
  • School records entered by an approved school, such as student, parent, staff, attendance, fee, and academic data
  • Login and usage information, such as account activity needed to operate and secure the Service
  • Messages you send us, including support or sales enquiries
  • Technical data such as browser type, device, and approximate location derived from IP address, used for security and site operation
3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to demo and registration requests and review school accounts
  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including attendance, fees, exams, and related school workflows
  • Authenticate users and keep each school’s data separate
  • Send service messages, such as account notices, invoices, or support replies
  • Protect the Service against misuse, fraud, and security incidents
  • Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use

We do not sell personal information. We do not use school records to advertise unrelated products to students or parents.

4. Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the Service: with hosting, email, and similar providers who process data for us; with the school that owns the account; and when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the platform. Providers are expected to use the information only for the services they perform for us.

5. Children and student data

The Service is built for schools and may include information about students, including minors. Schools decide what student data to enter and must have a lawful basis to do so. We do not knowingly collect student information directly from children through the public website. Public forms (demo and school registration) are intended for school staff and authorised adults.

6. Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, complete a demo or registration review, meet legal and accounting duties, and resolve disputes. When a school account ends, access stops and remaining data is handled according to the school’s plan, support process, or applicable law.

7. Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a school platform, including access controls that separate one school’s data from another. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; schools should also protect staff login credentials and limit access to authorised roles.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing, including under UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or applicable US state privacy laws. School users should contact their school administrator first for records the school stores in the Service. You may also contact us using the details below, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

9. International use

The Service may be used by schools in more than one country. Where information is processed outside your country, we take steps designed to provide a level of protection consistent with this policy and applicable law.

10. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are needed to sign you in, keep the site secure, and remember basic preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login or other core features from working.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy and Policy from time to time. The latest version will appear on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
